I did not time it, but it was fairly quick. I reviewed the glovebox installation video several times to make sure that I cut the dash in the proper area. It took several passes with a box cutter to get through the plastic dash and then the glovebox slid right into the opening.

This glove box made a big difference, since the 520 has zero storage space. It looks good, is functional and easy to install. This is a very worthwhile purchase.

I choose to have the 500 model number printed on the lid. Now I finally have the much needed dash storage. It looks very good and is very functional. This is a plus because as the glove box is completely supported by the single plane of the plastic dash, wedging a piece of closed cell foam between the glove box and the solenoid bracket locks it in place and removes any wiggle room for rattle or vibration. Color me happy.
